Senior Bare Metal Linux Engineer (Low Latency) - Financial Services Department: Infrastructure Location: Manhattan, NY (4 days a week on-site) Must live local or we willing to reputed company to the NYC area on the first day of hire. Position reputed company We are seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Linux, compute, and storage systems to join reputed company in Manhattan. In this role, you will design, build, and manage infrastructure platforms that reputed company with business reputed company. You'll work across bare metal, hypervisors, containers, and reputed company reputed company environments, ensuring high performance and reliability. Your day-to-day work will involve system installation and configuration, performance optimization, monitoring and alerting, automation, and tool development. This hands-on role requires technical depth and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage systems at reputed company through standardization, automation, testing, and monitoring
- Define and enforce infrastructure standards for reputed company control, testing, CI/CD, OS, patches, and configuration management
- Support a distributed compute environment and multi-petabyte storage platforms
- Install, configure, and monitor RHEL-based Linux systems
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the full stack
- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver both short-term and long-term objectives
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with strong Linux administration expertise
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems and protocols (NFS, GPFS, reputed company)
- Programming skills in Python or another modern language (Go, Rust, etc.)
- Knowledge of modern development practices (version control, agile, CI/CD)
- Experience with observability tools (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, reputed company, reputed company, Grafana)
- Familiarity with reputed company providers (AWS, GCP)
- Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
