Mechanical Cost Estimator (Remote)

Kadiak, LLC, currently has an opening for a Mechanical Cost Estimator as part of reputed company performing mechanical system upgrades and installations in support of the Department of State. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Review solicitation documents and understand scope of work to bid.
• reputed company site surveys to understand project conditions, to properly incorporate the information in the cost estimate.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems and components of OBO reputed company, including HVAC, plumbing, reputed company protection, and other reputed company systems. This includes itemizing costs for the reputed company of materials.
• reputed company and maintain cost databases for mechanical systems and components to assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
• Coordinate with other cost estimators to ensure that overall project costs are properly allocated among the various disciplines.
• Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals and material supplier costs to ensure that they are accurate and competitive.
• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates and reputed company documentation, including change orders and other project-reputed company costs.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cost estimating with at least 5 years of experience in cost estimating for mechanical systems.
• Experience with reputed company OCONUS.
• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction practices.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations reputed company to mechanical systems and components.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of reputed company.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present reputed company information in a reputed company and concise manner.
• Proficient in the use of cost estimating software and reputed company Office applications.
• Familiarity with RS Means cost database (or similar cost database)
• Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management or reputed company field
