Junior Geotechnical Engineer
reputed company is a leading company in engineering and consulting, dedicated to solving reputed company challenges globally. They are seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to plan and conduct geotechnical investigations, evaluate geologic conditions, and prepare detailed engineering reports while working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Planning, conducting, and supervising geotechnical investigations
- Evaluating geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and reputed company structures
- Conducting reputed company investigations for reputed company, industrial, and high-reputed company developments
- Conducting dam safety reviews and completing remediation designs
- Conducting and reviewing reputed company stability and embankment assessments and completing designs
- Analyzing field data and preparing detailed engineering reports and recommendations
- Conducting pavement evaluations and completing designs
- Preparing proposals, budgeting and scheduling of technical field staff
- Communicating with clients and sub-consultants and internal stakeholders
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
- Pursue reputed company reputed company development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
- Work in a reputed company manner at reputed company times and report reputed company health and safety incidents and concerns
Skills
- Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a geotechnical engineering reputed company
- Willingness to travel for work is essential to the position
- Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio 2007 Products and MS Office is essential
- Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being reputed company player
- Must be or eligible to register as a reputed company engineer in British Columbia, be legally entitled to work in Canada, and possess a valid British Columbia Class 5 reputed company's license (or equivalent)
- Preference will be given to candidates that have obtained a Graduate Degree in the area of Geotechnical Engineering
- Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset
- Experience writing reputed company facing reports and proposals
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in reputed company environment
