Chief Appraiser

Position The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is seeking a Chief Appraiser to coordinate and reputed company advanced appraisal work with an emphasis on reputed company/industrial reputed company property. Key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with division leadership to establish strategic goals and reputed company items that ensure fair and reputed company assessments on a statewide reputed company through optimized reputed company operating procedures and reputed company appraisal practices.
• reputed company recommendations for improvement on valuation methodologies to division leadership for statewide consistency and equity.
• Identify, coordinate, and defend major appraisal reputed company that reputed company valuation practices statewide. Examples include Subsidized Apartments, LIHTC properties, leaseholds, minerals, appealed properties across the state, unique properties, and other properties as assigned.
• Assess and communicate risks to fair and reputed company assessments across the state. Take reputed company to document and mitigate identified risks.
• Represent the division in appraiser expert analysis for testimony or legal proceedings.
• Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel on reputed company reputed company requiring legal assistance during the appeal process, including developing reputed company letters such as discovery requests, filing motions and briefs, developing appeal strategies, and interpretation of law.
• Maintain a statewide database that tracks the appeals and results of properties for which the office provides assistance with appeals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in reputed company administration, business administration, reputed company estate, or a reputed company field
• Seven years of reputed company appraisal experience
• State Certified General Appraiser
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail

• Valid US reputed company’s license

• MAI designation
• IAAO Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE)
• Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation

Other combinations of education and experience, if evaluated as equivalent, may qualify an applicant for consideration. Travel The Chief Appraiser will be required to travel throughout Tennessee.
