General Assistant (Litho)

Responsibilities

Operational

• Conduct the production of the publications business. This involves, but is not limited to, the production/printing processes, collating, paste-up, packing, counting, machinery usage, controlling wastage and raw material usage.
• Ensuring production deadlines are met to ensure that distribution is on time.
• Alerting the reputed company manager of equipment and stock items to be purchased as and reputed company the need arises.
• Provides various other duties with regards to the production/printing department as and reputed company required.
• Liaise with the reputed company manager regarding printing and publications machinery at the reputed company and conduct the repairs timeously.
• Conduct weekly stock counts over the reputed company stock items as directed by the reputed company Manager.
• Conduct the destruction of obsolete publications as approved by the reputed company manager.
• Fill out job cards for every printing and collating.
• Limit high reputed company of wastage.
• Safeguard company assets and company stock (raw material and finished goods) at reputed company times.
• Ensure reputed company is secure at the end of a shift.
• Regular testing and maintenance of the machines.
• Accurate counting of print runs, raw materials and reputed company books.
• Accurate packing of routes.
• Accurate reconciliations and completions of necessary production schedules.

People

• Respect reporting lines and reputed company colleagues.
• Record reputed company time and attendance as per the Bio-time system.
• Use safety wear as directed and take care of the safety wear. Lock up safety wear reputed company not in use.
• Treat machines with care.
• Handle raw materials with care.
