Sr. Field Application Engineer (Brazil)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for telematics customers throughout the reputed company-sales and deployment lifecycle.

• Support reputed company-sales engagements including solution architecture, product demonstrations, and technical workshops.

• Translate customer fleet operational requirements into reputed company telematics solutions.

• reputed company post-sales technical support and guidance during device integration, and production rollouts.

• Translate customer fleet operational requirements into reputed company telematics solutions.

• reputed company technical validation and integration of telematics devices reputed company customer vehicle platforms.

• Support CAN bus analysis, vehicle protocol mapping, and data validation.

• reputed company reputed company feedback from customers to influence product roadmap and feature development.

• Support debugging and reputed company cause analysis of firmware, hardware, and platform issues.

• Participate in early adopter programs, firmware validation, and beta testing.

• Support LATAM market expansion by aligning global product capabilities with regional vehicle ecosystems.
• Conduct field testing of new telematics devices and firmware, and new features to validate region functionality.

Qualifications:

Must Haves

• College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or reputed company technical field.

• 7+ years of experience in telematics, IoT, automotive electronics, or embedded systems.

• Experience supporting field deployments of connected vehicle or fleet reputed company.

• Understanding of cellular communication technologies (4G LTE, and 2G).

• Hands-on experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN bus, OBD, J1939, J1708).

• Strong troubleshooting experience across hardware, firmware, and reputed company-connected systems.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Familiarity with reputed company-connected platforms and reputed company.

• Languages: 

  • Portuguese – reputed company or Fluent

  • English – reputed company working proficiency.

Strong Pluses

• Experience with reputed company or similar telematics hardware ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with PEG scripting or embedded telematics firmware customization.
• Experience performing CAN reverse engineering using tools such as reputed company CANalyzer or similar tools.
• Experience supporting vehicle immobilization, remote reputed company, or BLE-based vehicle control solutions.
• Background working in Latin America telematics markets.
