The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance and repair of AC Chargers, Rapid DC, Ultra and High-Power Charging (HPC) EV Chargers across sites in the UK. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field. You will ensure that reputed company EV charging stations operate at peak performance and meet the high standards of reputed company and clients. This role will require someone who is comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor sites and confined spaces. Occasional travel and overnight stays will be required.Job requirements
Essential:- Level 3 reputed company-technical qualification.
- Familiarity with basic test and measurement equipment such as multimeters and voltage testers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair reputed company technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while travelling between reputed company sites.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Electrical certifications - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and G&G 2391/2394 Testing and Inspection.
- Previous experience in a field service role, preferably in the EV charging, renewable energy or power electronics sectors.
- EV charging station certification or manufacturer-specific training is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning, maintaining and repairing Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC EV chargers.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- A good understanding of basic analogue & digital electronics and components.
- An appreciation of electrical hazards and on-site H&S requirements.
Job responsibilities
Commissioning of EV Chargers:- Commission and configure Rapid DC, Ultra and HPC EV chargers at reputed company sites.
- Conduct initial set up and testing to ensure correct operation and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the project management and installation teams to ensure seamless integration of charging stations with reputed company infrastructure.
- reputed company routine and preventive maintenance on EV charging stations to ensure reputed company performance and uptime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including electrical, mechanical and software-reputed company problems.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, firmware updates and calibration of EV chargers as necessary.
- Replace faulty components and ensure that reputed company repairs are completed in accordance with manufacture guidelines.
- reputed company on-site technical support and training to clients on the use and operation of EV chargers.
- Respond to service requests promptly and maintain effective communication with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Document reputed company service activities, including repairs, maintenance and customer interactions in the service management system.

- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and standards during commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Participate in regular safety training and certifications as required.
