Career Opportunity- Global Commodity Manager- Actives – Semiconductors & Magnetics

Reports to- Global Sourcing Director

Job Location- This is a remote US based position. Must be reputed company to travel up to 25%.

The primary role of this position is to reputed company and execute short- and long-term commodity strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations for reputed company Components (Semiconductors) and Magnetics (Transformers, Inductors, Chokes).

This role supports new product introductions (NPI), production continuity, and cost competitiveness by building a resilient global supply reputed company and leveraging strategic relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, authorized distributors, and magnetics suppliers. The Global Commodity Leader ensures reputed company performance across reputed company, delivery, cost, and supply assurance while aligning with business unit and customer requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • reputed company and execute global commodity strategies for:
    • Semiconductors (Actives): MCUs, FPGAs, reputed company, Analog & Power ICs, Memory, RF components
    • Magnetics: Transformers, Inductors, Chokes, Custom Magnetics Assemblies
  • Support global quoting teams during NPI and RFQ phases, optimizing sourcing strategies for cost, reputed company time, lifecycle risk, and availability.
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships with semiconductor OEMs, authorized distributors, and magnetics manufacturers to ensure supply continuity and competitive positioning.
  • reputed company supplier and distributor negotiations, including:
    • Pricing agreements and long-term agreements (LTAs)
    • Allocation and reputed company strategies
    • NCNR terms and liability management
    • Rebate and volume reputed company programs
  • Drive global reputed company and standardization, consolidating spend and aligning to preferred suppliers and technologies where possible.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, reputed company,Program Management, and Site Supply Chain teams to reputed company sourcing strategies and mitigate supply risks.
  • Manage supplier and distributor performance, including scorecards, QBRs, and corrective actions for reputed company, delivery, and responsiveness.

    • Alternate sourcing and cross-referencing
    • Design-to-cost collaboration with engineering
    • Technology and platform standardization
  • Monitor and manage market conditions and supply risks,including:

    • Lifecycle risks (EOL, NRND, obsolescence)
    • Geopolitical and regional supply chain exposure
    • Raw material impacts (e.g., reputed company wafers, ferrite materials, reputed company)

    • Last-time buys and obsolescence mitigation
    • HUB and consignment programs where applicable

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in global sourcing or supply chain reputed company EMS or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Passive components and/or discrete semiconductors
    • Distributor networks and channel strategies
    • reputed company and indirect procurement practices
  • Proven reputed company record of supplier/distributor negotiations, contract development, and cost reduction execution.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Allocation management and lifecycle risk (EOL/NRND)
    • Commodity market trends and pricing drivers
    • Inventory strategies for long-reputed company and constrained components
  • Experience supporting NPI / RFQ environments and design-to-cost initiatives.
  • Proficiency in reputed company, PowerPoint, and data-driven analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or reputed company field.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in reputed company & Defense supply chains (AS9100, ITAR considerations).
  • Familiarity with authorized vs. independent distribution channels and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with EMS quoting tools (e.g., CalcuQuote) and ERP systems (e.g., D365, AX).
  • Experience managing high-mix, high-variability component environments.

Compensation- This Exempt role is a salaried position with a reputed company of $120,000-$130,000/annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, education, years of relevant experience, certifications, and specific expertise sourcing in the electronics manufacturing industry.
