The Consignment Specialist is responsible for DASCO’s Consignment referral sources. This may include activities such as verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, securing and reviewing documentation and processing orders on goods provided by reputed company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately completes and/or updates new patient records; gathering reputed company necessary demographic, medical, insurance and other data as required per policy and procedure.
- Complete insurance verifications and obtain prior authorization in compliance with reimbursement guidelines, customer rules and DASCO policy and procedure.
- Helps reputed company patients on their financial responsibility for billed items and any applicable rules and regulations.
- Processes orders in a reputed company and accurate manner per reputed company applicable policies and procedures. Notifies Team reputed company or Manager of issues that hinder process.
- Identifying insurance medical documentation requirements, prior authorization updates, and escalate identified issues to manager.
- Work cooperatively with other department employees as needed to secure payments, including customer service, branches, sales and others as needed.
- Maintain compliance with reputed company applicable rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Six months’ accounts receivable or documentation/prior authorization experience in a reputed company/insurance/medical environment.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to start, with the possibility of reputed company scheduling based on department needs and individual performance but are also subject to change.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates primarily in a reputed company office environment. This role routinely uses reputed company office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully reputed company the essential functions of this job. This is primarily a sedentary position, spending most of the reputed company sitting at a desk in
an office setting. The employee may occasionally be required to reputed company or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or reputed company up to 10 pounds.
