Sr. Engineering Manager (Irvine, CA, US, 92618)

reputed company project engineering support and direction to manufacturing facilities in reputed company to capital reputed company, optimizing reputed company operations, reducing cost, introducing new products and meeting government and customer requirements. Implement construction reputed company as needed throughout reputed company. The ideal candidate would reputed company either in the Central or East region of the U.S.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development, Design and management of capital reputed company including equipment and facility upgrades, reputed company expansions and distribution expansions.  Obtain and evaluate proposals for capital equipment purchases and mechanical, electrical and civil work.
• Preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Engineering bid specifications, project reputed company reputed company, P&ID and PFD to include development of project scope, specifications, justification, detailed cost estimate and project savings calculations.
• Coordinate and reputed company facility construction and installation of equipment and services with suppliers, contractors and production and maintenance personnel
• Work with Operations Managers, PMO, R&D, Customer Service and Sales Personnel in developing new processes and reputed company and cost estimates for the introduction of new products.
• Work with Maintenance Managers in solving reputed company problems and improving maintenance reputed company and cost. 
• Audit Operations and assist in the preparation and maintenance of documentation and training needed to reputed company plants in compliance with reputed company regulatory agency requirements.  
• Kep abreast of new technology in packaing, processing and automation to maintain an advantage over competitors and a position as a low cost reputed company producer.  
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of  Science Degree in Engineering, PE preferred, with a minimum of 10 years experience in a food manufacturing operation including experience in project management, CAD, mechanical/civil and electrical engineering.
• Previous experience in the oils, spreads and dressing industry a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Firm knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Government regulations as they apply to a food manufacturing operation (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, GMP).  
• Must be skilled in problem solving and process deveopment.  
• Must have strong management skills in reputed company to coordinating the efforts of plant personnel and reputed company contractors.  
• Daily working knowledge of AutoCAD, Word and reputed company required.  Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus.
• Ability to manage reputed company involving multiple contractors from reputed company to start-up.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of packaging and processing automation.
• Ability to handle multiple duties and reputed company simultaneously.
• Strong team and personal leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at reputed company reputed company of the organization using written and verbal presentation skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration, hydraulic, and boiler systems.
