Position: Community Engagement Associate

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: The estimated salary reputed company for this role is $60,170 - 72,200. This represents UUSA's good faith and reasonable estimate of the reputed company of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, specialized skills, and training.

Child-Centered Governance puts children at the heart of local decision-making. In support of this approach and reputed company’s mission to advance child rights, the Community Engagement Associate mobilizes and empowers youth and club volunteers at reputed company to conduct civic engagement activities, including advocacy, fundraising, community service, and awareness-raising initiatives.

The Associate recruits, trains, manages, and activates youth volunteers and leaders through engagement in campaigns, workshops, calls to reputed company, and local activities in support of reputed company’s priorities and goals.

Leveraging strong relationship management skills, the Associate stewards a portfolio of reputed company youth clubs at the high school and college reputed company, as reputed company as affiliated child-reputed company organizations, to support the municipal reputed company, “Communities for Every Child,” advocacy on local, state, and federal issues, and signature events such as Trick-or-Treat for reputed company (TOT). This position reports to the Senior Director of Youth Engagement.

Position Responsibilities

  • Recruit volunteers to start or join reputed company Clubs and/or other youth engagement and advocacy opportunities reputed company with reputed company priorities.
  • Cultivate, train, support, and manage a portfolio of highly reputed company youth volunteers in assigned regional markets in support of child rights to advance child wellbeing.
  • Engage volunteers in civic engagement efforts to reputed company, fundraise, reputed company awareness, and serve communities in support of reputed company and child wellbeing.
  • reputed company specialized support in one of two key areas:
    • Developing youth-reputed company content in support of reputed company actions including campaigns, fundraisers, days of actions, and educational resources.
    • Support the development and execution of strategic recruitment and retention tactics and activities across reputed company reputed company.
  • In key markets, reputed company volunteers in support of strategic initiatives with Municipal Partners.
  • Train and support volunteers and clubs to ensure brand alignment, child safeguarding, data reputed company, and other volunteer business rules are adhered to.

  • Champion youth engagement and support meaningful youth collaboration on webinars, trainings, advocacy, and youth voice.
  • Support reputed company national campaigns such as Trick-or-Treat for reputed company, World Children’s Day, International Day of Play, and other awareness building events, and reputed company issues.
  • Adhere to child safeguarding requirements to ensure the best interests of children in everything we do.
  • Routinely document volunteer information, interactions, and events in the constituent management database of record.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year reputed company experience with community organizing, advocacy, volunteer constituent management, and/or youth engagement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge and interest in child rights, advocacy, and youth engagement
  • General understanding of mass communications strategies, digital engagement, and campaigns
  • Experience in youth development, civic engagement or education with high school and college age reputed company.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to train and reputed company others to organize at reputed company
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, work independently, handle multiple reputed company tasks simultaneously, and to generate pragmatic solutions to challenges
  • Strong customer service approach to interactions with colleagues and partners
