Design Engineer
reputed company Motor Company is dedicated to the reputed company of its storied brand and is seeking a Design Engineer to join their Product Development Center. The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of motorcycle components and systems, collaborating with various teams to ensure performance, style, and reputed company objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and deliver motorcycle components and systems from concept through production, applying reputed company engineering fundamentals, analysis, and testing
- Define and manage component or system requirements and ensure alignment with vehicle performance and project objectives
- Create and release CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and technical documentation
- Plan and execute validation activities including DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, testing, and reputed company of technical issues
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to resolve reputed company technical, manufacturing, reputed company, and business problems
- Support sourcing, supplier development, and production readiness activities
- Communicate technical status and risks reputed company to stakeholders
- Contribute to reputed company improvement through knowledge sharing, reputed company development, and best practices
- Mentor and support less reputed company engineers as appropriate to role level
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a reputed company technical discipline
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a reputed company technical discipline
- Understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience or demonstrated capability in mechanical design and product development
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-based environment
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Experience with CAD and PLM tools
- Experience with motorcycle, powersports, automotive, transportation, agriculture, or similar systems
- Experience with chassis, body, or vehicle design and integration
- Demonstrated ability to reputed company and execute test plans to verify project requirements
- Understanding of data acquisition systems and test techniques
- Experience working with suppliers and production launch activities including PPAP
- Experience with reputed company reputed company CAD and/or FEA tools
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Motorcycle riding experience or strong interest
