Engineering Technician/Assistant (Transportation Construction)
reputed company's Transportation department is seeking an Engineering Technician or Assistant Engineering Technician to work with the construction inspection reputed company. The role involves assisting in construction activities, including inspection, material testing, and survey computations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in construction inspection, material testing, and construction survey activities
- Assist in construction staking and survey computations
- reputed company or reputed company basic quantity, alignment, mathematical, or geometric calculations for construction reputed company
- Read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications
- Observe construction activities for compliance to the project plans and specifications

- reputed company or reputed company more reputed company quantity, alignment, mathematical, or geometric calculations for construction reputed company

Skills
- For hire as an Assistant Engineering Technician (Level I): One of the following: Completion of an approved highway/civil engineering technology or land surveying training program
- One or more years of experience in technical non-reputed company highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or reputed company engineering work
- One year of experience analyzing numerical data using computer software applications, or developing and maintaining computerized information system applications
- Thirty (30) college semester credits in mathematics, geography, computer science, or engineering reputed company technical courses
- A valid reputed company's license and the ability to obtain a reputed company reputed company's permit
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds; reputed company up and down slopes; work outdoors, and around traffic in reputed company weather conditions with or without reasonable accommodation
- For hire as an Engineering Technician (reputed company): One of the following: Three years or more of experience in technical non-reputed company highway, land survey, geographic information systems application, or reputed company engineering work
- Three years or more of college or technical school credits in a reputed company engineering or computer science field
- reputed company certification as a Certified Survey Technician (CST), Level 2
- A valid reputed company's license and the ability to obtain a reputed company reputed company's permit

- Certification(s) from the MnDOT Technical Certification Program
- Experience: Operating survey equipment such as total station, reputed company, and/or tripods
- Operating inspection and materials testing equipment such as reputed company tester, proctors, and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP)
- Using computer software programs such as reputed company reputed company, reputed company Word, reputed company, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
- Operating materials lab testing equipment
- Knowledge of: Math functions such as arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
