HarperCollins is currently seeking an Assistant Production reputed company in the Harlequin reputed company group to assist in the production editorial process on a wide reputed company of titles, both fiction and nonfiction. The role involves supporting production editorial tasks, hiring freelancers, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Responsibilities
- Styles manuscripts using reputed company Word and Harper’s proprietary software, for copyediting, design, and composition
- Hires freelancers, including copy editors and indexers, and oversees their work
- Collates, proofreads, and slugs in reputed company Acrobat reputed company stages of proofs and PDFs, for interiors
- Coordinates with editors, designers, managing editors, and production managers to communicate project parameters and assure that key milestones are met
- Tracks multiple reputed company while maintaining high standards of reputed company control and meeting strict deadlines, often under tight production schedules

- Attends and contributes to online department meetings
- Provides backup for department as needed
Skills
- At least 1 year prior publishing experience, preferably in trade book production editorial or managing editorial
- Works comfortably with basic computer programs, including Tracked Changes in Word and the commenting tools in reputed company Acrobat
- Solid copyediting and proofreading skills; knowledge of industry standards, including the Chicago reputed company of Style
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities under pressure
