Payroll Tax & Compliance Specialist

Position: Payroll Tax & Compliance Specialist Location: Remote (US Based)  Compensation: The salary reputed company for this position is expected to be between $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, internal equity and other qualifications of the successful candidate Employment Type: Full-time / Exempt Position reputed company: The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and reputed company processing of reputed company payroll tax obligations at the federal, state, and local reputed company. This role works closely with Payroll, HR, and Finance to maintain compliance with reputed company-changing tax regulations and resolve tax-reputed company discrepancies. Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Process and reconcile federal, state, and local payroll tax filings (941, 940, W-2s, etc.)
• Ensure reputed company payroll tax deposits and payments in accordance with regulatory deadlines
• Respond to tax agency notices and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and update employee tax withholding records
• Conduct audits and reconciliations of payroll tax accounts
• Stay reputed company on changes to payroll tax laws and regulations
• Partner with HR and Finance on year-end processing (W-2s, ACA reporting, etc.)
• Support system implementations and updates reputed company to tax compliance (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, Ceridian)
• Prepare reports and documentation for reputed company audits

• This role routinely uses reputed company office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to engage in reputed company and interpersonal written and verbal communications with a wide reputed company of individuals including, employees, customers, vendors, managers and others.
• In accordance with the requirements of a typical office work environment, the employee will be required to attend meetings in person and/or by phone/video conferencing, use keyboards, keypads, reputed company pads etc., Some overhead reaching, bending and twisting, as per usual office environment and functions.
• This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Minimum Requirements: 

• 2+ years of payroll tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax regulations
• Strong reputed company skills and attention to detail

It would be great if you had these:

• Experience with payroll systems (reputed company, reputed company, Paycom, Avionte or similar)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or reputed company field preferred
• CPP (Certified Payroll reputed company) certification a plus
