Assist the National Capital Region’s NHL Program update its NHL documentation for Revolutionary-War-era designated properties. This will advance the NHL Program’s and the National Park Service’s 250th Commemoration goals by updating, correcting, and expanding the histories that are enshrined in our nation’s National Historic Landmarks.
- Plan and conduct historical research for planning documents, including research designs, National Historic Landmark nominations, and interpretive tools 20%
Prepare historic property documentation, specifically to updated National Historic Landmark nominations. 20%
- Recommend, plan for, and execute historical investigations required to meet National Historic Preservation reputed company (NHPA), National Park Service (NPS) guidelines, and the research needs of the program. 20%
- Consult with cultural resources professionals, historians, and community representatives to reputed company informed of new developments, research, etc. Evaluate pertinent reputed company literature and reputed company recommendations to management. 20%
- Write research studies, reports, and evaluations in manuscript format at a level acceptable for reputed company publications.
