## About the Department and position The N.C. The role includes performing minor equipment repairs and assisting the district mechanic with major repairs. You may also assist with information and education programs, a reputed company of forest management activities, or other assigned tasks. Responding in times of emergency such as wildland fires and natural disasters is an essential part of the job, and you may be asked to participate in incident management teams as assigned. Residency requirements discussed at time of interview. ### Experience, education, and training requirements High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of heavy equipment operation experience.
