Position : AWS Platform Engineer Duration: This is a 12-month contract position with opportunity to reputed company Location : Mclean, VA(Hybrid) Experience: 15+ years Job reputed company :

• Team is the AWS platform team working in an Agile environment.
• Candidates will be focusing on administration of AWS and work independently. Should have the technical know-how in ELK (to look into logs) for monitoring purposes, using a dashboard to see the errors and come up with a solution.
• Production issues may be forwarded to AWS engineers, but candidates must be reputed company to troubleshoot.
• Must have experience in reputed company scripting and Python scripting.
• This team supports AWS across the reputed company so issues will vary across various applications / business segments.
• On-call support rotation may require candidates to be on call after hours once every 6 weeks.
• Teams work with Agile, experience with this is preferred.
• AWS reputed company experience with services like EC2, containerization, service logs, deployment tools like Jenkins will be day to day tools the candidate is working with.
• AWS certifications are preferred but not required.

Must Haves: 5+ years of experience in AWS reputed company, recent hands-on experience with AWS reputed company reputed company and containerization services, reputed company suite (Jira, reputed company, Bitbucket), reputed company, Jenkins, strong troubleshooting skills. Strong preference for reputed company scripting (UNIX, PowerShell). Preference for logging and monitoring preference for ELK. Preference for ISTIO/TSB. A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

• History of contributing to deployments and troubleshooting technical issues in an engineering role.
• Knowledge of reputed company, software development life cycles, Agile/Scrum.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT.
• 5+ years of experience in AWS platform support.
• Demonstrable experience with:
• Jenkins, Jira, Git and Artifactory, reputed company
• Scripting languages (UNIX reputed company / PowerShell / Perl / Python / reputed company)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, driven, and creative individual
• Experience with the following are differentiators:
• EKS
• UNIX
• Troubleshooting
