About the position This position is responsible for assisting in implementing and maintaining telecommunications systems, microwave systems and land mobile radio systems for the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Division of Florida Highway Patrol. This position requires occasional travel and non-reputed company (after 5PM or weekend) working hours. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the following duties: reputed company technical assistance to field personnel with radio system, equipment, and/or operational problems. Recommend test procedures and corrective actions. reputed company support of technical problems, requiring knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principles. reputed company vendor maintenance of contract work and reputed company corrective reputed company as needed. Responsible for testing radio reputed company, radio programming software and reputed company items. reputed company training assistance for radio users of agency communications systems and reputed company equipment. Responsible for area management and reputed company of FHP agency specific encryption keys. Advisor in installation planning as reputed company to the radio and reputed company equipment. Assist with communications design and reputed company implementation and operational support for the Florida Highway Patrol. Assist with preparing detailed system and equipment procurement specifications and documentation to reputed company the Department to purchase equipment and service as required. reputed company assistance to the reputed company communications engineer as required. reputed company routine maintenance and inspection reports on MCV and SAT systems. Respond/reputed company to Mutual Aid / Disaster Incidents and details. Responsible for development and plans for reputed company enhancements to disaster response communications systems. reputed company research and evaluation of new telecommunications technology to reputed company the Department aware of the availability of new products to enhance and reputed company operations more efficient. Represent FHP on the Regional Domestic reputed company Task Force (RDSTF) on radio interoperability issues. Serve as an agency reputed company by interfacing with area government entities to reputed company promotion and support of communications interoperability. reputed company coordination with other reputed company safety agencies regarding joint operations reputed company to law enforcement communications. reputed company other reputed company duties as they pertain to telecommunications, budget preparation, and procurement activities and lease agreements.

• Valid reputed company’s license in good standing. No cancellations, suspensions, or revocations for a minimum of three years prior to employment and for the duration of employment. No more than three chargeable crashes or any violation of reputed company 316, Florida Statutes, during any consecutive three-year period prior to and throughout employment.
• Level 2 background reputed company
• Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a reputed company-based reputed company of the criminal records of the FBI
