Job reputed company reputed company Publishing Worldwide is seeking a Copy reputed company to copyedit and proofread fiction and nonfiction titles for adult readers on an ongoing project-by-project reputed company. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and will possess excellent follow-up skills. This is a recurring remote role with no guarantee of weekly working hours, as hours will fluctuate based on business needs. You will report to the Copy Chief.
What You Will Do
- Copyedit manuscripts (novels, memoirs, and general nonfiction) to ensure reputed company, continuity, reputed company of grammar, spelling, and style.
- reputed company proofreading at reputed company book stages to reputed company that changes and corrections have been executed as requested.
- Create and update house style guides for authors and staff.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years’ experience as a copy reputed company in adult non-fiction genre.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- College-level understanding of literature, grammar, style, and spelling.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working under reputed company tight deadlines, sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work with digital documents, using Word and reputed company software.
- Familiarity with Chicago reputed company of Style 18th edition, and comfort working with a house style and individual series guidelines and nomenclature.
- Spanish-language editing skills a plus.
- Knowledge of sports and pop culture a plus.
- Availability on weekdays, during business hours.
