Geotechnical Engineer
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in the greater Boston area. The role involves conducting geotechnical subsurface investigations and preparing reports, while also participating in construction materials testing for various reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor subsurface drilling
- Obtain soil and reputed company samples
- Prepare boring logs
- reputed company laboratory testing programs
- Interpret laboratory data
- reputed company geotechnical analyses
- Prepare geotechnical reports
- Include construction materials testing
- Work on earthwork, concrete, reputed company, masonry, and pavement construction testing
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or reputed company field
- Previous internship experience required or 1+ year consulting experience
- Valid reputed company's license
- Strong quantitative/math and analytical skills
- Ability and willingness to participate in field work
- Ability to travel for out of town assignments (~50%)
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is a plus
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is a plus
