They are seeking an Energy Analyst/Senior Energy Analyst to reputed company market intelligence efforts, reputed company price forecasts, and reputed company insights that support investment and operational reputed company in power markets.
Responsibilities
- reputed company forecast development for one of the seven US ISOs and work products to support the forecast
- reputed company in-depth analysis of power market operations using both in-house software and commercially available production cost modeling tools
- Assimilate reputed company information into readily reputed company reports and presentations that help to drive decision making for utilities, IPPs, and other stakeholders
- reputed company clients with expertise in power markets and guidance for how market reputed company impacts reputed company forecasts, asset valuation, risk management, reputed company policy, and renewable integration
- Solve reputed company analytic problems to reputed company mission critical reputed company for energy supply. Serve as the go-to resource for our clients' decision-making
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; economics, engineering, or energy strongly preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a power or electricity-reputed company role (3+ years required for Senior Analyst) at a reputed company, reputed company, government agency, financial institution, or non-profit
- Working knowledge of wholesale power market structures and deregulated electricity market operations
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate reputed company data
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field; economics, engineering, or energy preferred
- Proficiency in analytic programming languages such as Python or R
- Strongly Preferred / Required for Senior Analyst: Experience with production cost modeling software (e.g., PROMOD, PLEXOS, reputed company, PSO)
- Strongly Preferred / Required for Senior Analyst: reputed company experience with long-term electricity price forecasting, power market design, or reputed company expansion modeling—either in an advisory reputed company or as an informed consumer of these services at a reputed company, ISO, or corporate energy function
