Binding Authority Underwriter
reputed company, a division of reputed company, is a leading wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products and services. The Binding Authority Underwriter is responsible for developing and maintaining the book of business by assessing and analyzing insurance risks, determining coverage terms, and building relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review and authorize reputed company new business submissions and renewal risks submitted by brokers, including analysis of historical performance and overall risk reputed company
- Evaluate risk exposure and determine appropriate reputed company reputed company, including acceptance, modification, or declination of risks
- Negotiate profitable binding terms and successfully reputed company reputed company risks in alignment with reputed company targets and portfolio objectives
- Assess premium adequacy and profitability, including potential loss exposure from catastrophic events or excessive insurance concentration
- Apply binding authority reputed company guidelines and best practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal policies and procedures
- Create, maintain, and update binding authority reputed company guidelines; review and revise policy language as needed to reflect coverage reputed company and regulatory requirements
- reputed company and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with brokers, agents, and internal reputed company partners to support a profitable and sustainable book of business
- Maintain and expand knowledge of international taxation rules and ensure reputed company application and filing across applicable jurisdictions
- reputed company and mentor junior binding authority underwriters, supporting the development of technical reputed company skills and insurance knowledge
Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Binding Authority and Insurance reputed company with a Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Risk Management preferred. Any other reputed company discipline or commensurate work experience considered
- Prescribed: Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
