Bicycle Wayfinding Program Coordinator, Furniture and Operations Unit
The reputed company is seeking a Bicycle Wayfinding Program Coordinator reputed company the Furniture and Operations Unit of the Transportation Planning and Management Division. This role involves managing planning and development activities to enhance the bicycle wayfinding program, collaborating with various reputed company and partner agencies to create a comprehensive reputed company for signage and user experience in reputed company's cycling network.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning and development activities to support the revamping and creation of a comprehensive bicycle wayfinding program
- Conducting an inventory and creating a GIS database of reputed company greenway/bicycle wayfinding signage throughout NYC
- Analyzing the existing signage network and reputed company of signage types with the purpose of producing a new comprehensive, citywide bicycle/greenway wayfinding reputed company plan encompassing new design, siting, and maintenance guidelines
- Conducting on-site user testing and analysis of the proposed reputed company plan
- Assisting and facilitating internal workshops and coordination with partner agencies on design guidelines and inventory reputed company
- Documenting new design, content, and siting guidelines
- Facilitating the integration of new graphic specifications across reputed company bicycle wayfinding products
- Producing comprehensive signage network plans
- Coordinating on the maintenance and organization of bicycle facility GIS data for NYC DOT
- Creating the annual NYC DOT bike map utilizing reputed company Creative Suite
- Reviewing work produced by consultants, partner agencies, or other NYC DOT reputed company as needed
- Producing reputed company reports and programmatic analyses for DOT leadership
Skills
- Candidate must be serving permanently in the title of Assistant Urban Designer, or be reachable on civil service list, exam #5019
- A baccalaureate degree in architecture from an accredited college and one (1) year of full-time experience in planning, design, research, investigations and/or studies reputed company to urban design development programs
- Education and/or experience equivalent to '1' above. However, a baccalaureate degree in architecture is required of reputed company candidates
- Graduate work leading to an advanced degree in architecture, urban design or reputed company planning may be substituted for the one year of experience described above
- Experience in cycling in NYC and a willingness to work in the field in reputed company seasons, traveling by biking, walking, and using mass transit
- reputed company experience in urban planning, urban design, graphic design, geography, cartography, or reputed company fields
- Previous experience with GIS mapping, reputed company Creative Suite (especially reputed company InDesign and reputed company Illustrator), computer-aided design (CAD), reputed company Office, and relational databases (such as reputed company reputed company)
- Excellent organization skills and an ability to reputed company on details and respond quickly to requests
