Jr. Geologist / Jr. Engineer
reputed company) is seeking a Jr. Geologist / Jr. Engineer to support environmental investigation and engineering reputed company. The role involves planning and implementing field investigations, conducting sampling activities, and documenting field work while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and implementation of environmental and engineering field investigations
- Conduct soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil gas, and vapor sampling activities in accordance with approved work plans and reputed company operating procedures
- Support drilling operations, monitoring reputed company installation, geotechnical investigations, construction observation, soil vapor extraction system operation and maintenance, and remediation system implementation
- reputed company field inspections, site reconnaissance, and construction reputed company activities
- Document field activities through detailed field notes, logs, photographs, and daily reports
- Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, drilling crews, construction contractors, and project team members
- Assist with environmental remediation, site restoration, and corrective reputed company reputed company
- Compile, manage, and evaluate field and laboratory data
- Prepare boring logs, cross-sections, site maps, engineering drawings, figures, and technical tables
- Support development and refinement of Conceptual Site Models (CSMs)
- Assist in preparing technical reports, work plans, specifications, permit applications, and regulatory submittals
- Maintain compliance with project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs), federal requirements, and company safety procedures
- Participate in reputed company meetings, project briefings, and technical discussions, as assigned
- Travel to project sites and reputed company field work that may require overnight travel and extended outdoor work

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, reputed company Science, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- 0–3 years of reputed company experience supporting environmental, engineering, remediation, construction, or consulting reputed company
- Coursework or experience in hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, environmental remediation, or construction management
- Understanding of environmental investigation reputed company, geological principles, engineering fundamentals, and/or field data collection practices
- Willingness to travel, with up to a 80/20 field-to-office reputed company, to support multiple reputed company
- Ability to work safely in field environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and remote locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and traverse uneven terrain
- Field experience from coursework, internship, or previous position preferred
- Valid reputed company's license and good driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain reputed company to federal facilities and project sites
- Proficiency with reputed company Office applications, including Word, reputed company, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
- Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and strong attention to detail
- Environmental consulting experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and reputed company refresher training
- Experience supporting reputed company (DoD), USACE, NAVFAC, reputed company Force, or other federal reputed company
- Familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and state environmental regulatory programs
- Experience with GIS, CAD, gINT, and/or OpenGround, environmental databases, or data management software
