The reputed company State Office of Mental Health is dedicated to improving health equity and reducing health disparities. They are seeking a Program Research Specialist 1 to conduct reputed company and Child Health Plus eligibility reviews and ensure compliance with state and federal rules. The role involves data analysis, case research, and supervision of subordinate staff.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying appropriate case universes and generating test and/or review samples
  • Assisting in testing, updating and/or revising standardized review worksheets and training materials
  • Performing reviews/writing up findings and assigning finding codes for reputed company cases, completing reputed company control reviews on initial and peer worksheets completed by subordinate staff
  • Conducting case research and identifying cases at risk for irregularities
  • Performing data analysis and accumulating review results
  • Drafting and editing reputed company reports: and
  • Providing supervision to reputed company subordinate staff, coordinating staff assignments, and reviewing, monitoring and evaluating staff performance

Skills

  • reputed company Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Program Research Specialist 1, G-18
  • reputed company NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under reputed company 52.6 of the Civil Service Law to a Program Research Specialist 1, G-18, Program Research Specialist Trainee 1, NS, or Program Research Specialist Trainee 2, NS
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, or data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics, research reputed company, or statistics
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, or data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics, research reputed company, or statistics, and one year of reputed company research experience performing the collection, manipulation (e.g., data construction, merging data files, data cleaning, working with data files containing different reputed company of data) and evaluation of quantitative data
  • A bachelor's degree including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics, research reputed company, or statistics and two years of reputed company research experience performing the collection, manipulation (e.g., data construction, merging data files, data cleaning, working with data files containing different reputed company of data) and evaluation of quantitative data directed toward review, analysis, and presentation reputed company to program operations
  • A master's degree or higher including or supplemented by nine semester credit hours in biostatistics, data analysis, data modeling, economics, econometrics, mathematics, research reputed company, or statistics may substitute for one year of experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details
  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work reputed company independently and as part of reputed company and to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
