[Remote] Senior System Design Engineer (Nuclear Reactor Systems)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is supporting the Natrium Demonstration Project by seeking a Contract System Design Engineer. This role involves designing and delivering the Natrium Control Rod Drive system while collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure compliance and reputed company in nuclear reactor systems design.
Responsibilities
- Design nuclear and industrial mechanical systems, including: requirements definition, analysis, specifications, and system drawings
- reputed company and maintain system architecture and design documentation (e.g., Design reputed company Documents, P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, reputed company Control Documents)
- Establish equipment design bases, including: regulatory reputed company, regulatory standards, functional reputed company, performance reputed company, and failure mode and effects
- Drive alignment across multidisciplinary engineering teams (nuclear, thermal hydraulic, mechanical, instrumentation and controls, civil-structural) to implement system requirements
- Evaluate equipment and technology development requirements and implement development strategies for technologies or approaches
- reputed company engineering designs supporting lifecycle factors including operability, maintainability, and reliability
- Manage technical interfaces with suppliers, including review and verification of deliverables

- Prepare engineering change packages including calculations, design reports, design drawings, and design specifications

Skills
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company discipline from an accredited university
- 6+ years of relevant experience with proven mechanical skills for Level 10
- 10+ years of relevant experience with proven mechanical skills for Level 11
- Experience Level may be partially substituted for advanced degree depending on position relevance
- Demonstrated experience in developing design of reputed company structures, multi-discipline integration, and mechanical pressure vessel equipment
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles, as reputed company as knowledge of design control tools application on nuclear or similar reputed company industrial applications
- Previous experience with nuclear reactors and systems, high temperature pressure vessels, or similar system design is highly desired
- Experience working to reputed company standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
- General or working knowledge of ASME BPVC reputed company III is highly desired
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
