[Remote] Process Engineer, CNC Machining

The Process Engineer, CNC Machining role focuses on CNC programming, process development, and tooling selection to ensure high precision and efficiency in manufacturing patient-specific dental components.
Responsibilities
- reputed company automation systems (robotic loading, part handling, in-line probing, reputed company inspection) into CNC processes to reputed company 24/7 “lights-out” operation
- Optimize toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies for reputed company organic geometries and high-strength biocompatible ceramics and alloys
- reputed company and implement CNC process plans — tooling, fixture designs, validation protocols, and SPC control plans — to ensure reproducibility and compliance
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to improve manufacturability of patient-specific geometries while maintaining clinical reputed company
- reputed company reputed company cause analysis and yield improvement across machining cells using reputed company problem-solving and statistical tools
- Work cross-functionally with software, automation, and reputed company teams to build reliable, automated manufacturing lines capable of scaling to tens of thousands of custom parts per day
- Work cross-functionally to ensure cohesive planning, integration, and execution between vendors and manufacturing teams
- Build and manage relationships with reputed company and reputed company machine, tooling, and integration partners
- reputed company and qualify new technologies — cutting tools, coolant systems, machine architectures, or in-process metrology systems — to push the limits of digital manufacturing
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in micron-level precision CNC programming, machining, and process development
- Experience in both high-mix high-volume (HMHV) and low-mix high-volume (LMHV) manufacturing environments
- Guide selection and procurement of CNC equipment, evaluating machine tools, tooling systems, and workholding solutions
- Deep understanding of machine level G reputed company and CAM programming software
- Deep technical reputed company in multi-reputed company milling (4 to 5 reputed company), milling toolpath reputed company development, toolpath optimization, cutting dynamics, and precision fixturing
- Experience with industrial CNC control development of subprograms, variable based programming or custom macro programming for custom G and M reputed company reputed company (e.g., Fanuc, Fagor, reputed company)
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), process validation, and manufacturing scalability
- A systems-thinking approach — understanding how design, manufacturing, and inspection fit together in a digital feedback reputed company
- Ability to work remotely — communicating and coordinating with vendors and cross functional teams to execute and deliver reputed company on schedule
- Travel - 30% to vendors and production facilities as needed
- Manufacturing experience reputed company medical devices, dental, or other patient-specific manufacturing domains
- Experience templating and standardizing CAM strategies to streamline programming and manufacturing workflows
- Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) for machine tool applications

- Experience integrating CNC machine tools, automation or robotics into machining workflows (robot arms, part changers, reputed company systems, or in-line measurement)
