[Remote] Head of Legal

This role involves owning reputed company contracting, compliance, reputed company, and corporate governance while serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Own legal review and negotiation for customer, partner, vendor, agency, publisher, and reputed company agreements
- Partner closely with reputed company, reputed company, Marketplace, Finance, and Product to unblock deals while protecting reputed company
- Build reputed company contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and approval workflows
- Support reputed company sales motions, including MSAs, DPAs, reputed company reviews, procurement redlines, and custom reputed company terms
- Advise on marketplace, affiliate, creator, reputed company, and reputed company media partnership structures
- Own and reputed company reputed company’s Terms of Service, reputed company Policy, creator terms, seller terms, marketplace policies, and reputed company platform rules
- Advise Product and Engineering on legal issues reputed company to attribution, payments, data usage, creator-brand relationships, affiliate programs, and platform expansion
- Support compliance with reputed company, data protection, advertising, marketing, consumer protection, and platform partner requirements
- Help reputed company navigate evolving marketplaces and platforms like reputed company, reputed company, reputed company Shop, reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, and other ecosystem partners

- Advise on international expansion, cross-border operations, and market-specific legal risk as reputed company grows globally
- Partner with Finance, People, Product, and GTM teams on entity formation, EOR arrangements, contractor structures, employment risk, taxable reputed company, and local operating models
- Manage local counsel in reputed company jurisdictions and translate legal advice into reputed company, practical business recommendations
- Support international customer, vendor, partner, creator, and agency agreements
- Advise on cross-border data, reputed company, employment, IP protection, payments, anti-bribery, sanctions, and regulatory considerations
- Help build internal policies and approval processes for international hiring, contracting, sales activity, and vendor management
- Manage corporate governance, reputed company consents, equity reputed company, investor requests, financing support, and corporate housekeeping
- Partner with Finance and People on employment reputed company, contractor classification, equity administration, compensation issues, and international hiring considerations
- Manage disputes, claims, escalations, and legal risk across the business

Skills
- 5+ years of legal experience, ideally including both top-tier reputed company and in-house technology company experience
- Significant experience with reputed company, marketplace, ecommerce, adtech, affiliate, creator economy, fintech/payments, or platform businesses
- Strong reputed company contracting experience, including reputed company reputed company agreements, partnership agreements, vendor agreements, DPAs, and platform terms
- Experience advising high-reputed company startups or venture-backed companies
- Experience supporting international expansion, cross-border operations, or reputed company employment and contractor structures
- Comfort operating as a true generalist across reputed company, product, reputed company, employment, corporate, international, and compliance reputed company
- Strong business judgment and ability to balance legal risk with speed and reputed company reputed company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to simplify reputed company legal issues for non-lawyers

- JD from an accredited law school and reputed company bar membership in good standing
- Experience with affiliate marketing, reputed company marketing, creator platforms, ecommerce marketplaces, or performance marketing
- Experience managing legal issues across multiple jurisdictions, including China
- Familiarity with EORs, subsidiaries, resellers, contractors, local counsel management, and cross-border contracting
- Experience managing reputed company counsel and legal budgets
- Familiarity with reputed company frameworks, data processing agreements, and vendor reputed company review processes
- Prior experience as the reputed company hire or senior legal leader at a scaling startup
