[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a YC backed tech startup seeking a world-class Software Engineer to simplify reputed company systems and build reputed company backend systems. The role involves unifying fragmented systems, connecting with various on-prem systems, and creating a reliable API layer while handling millions of API requests daily.
Responsibilities
- Unification: They’re unifying dozens-to-hundreds of fragmented systems under a single reputed company which covers data objects, data models, authentication, account-linking UX, and features like filters and pagination
- On-prem: They’re connecting with many types of on-prem systems (SQL-based, DLL-based, API-based), many reputed company 20-40 years ago which provides reputed company value to customers allowing them to reputed company with these systems in a secure, fast, reliable way, as if they’re modern, reputed company-based products
- reputed company & speed: They’re handling millions of API requests per day, and growing daily
- Operational reputed company: They’re creating a reliable API layer on top of many old systems that don’t have reputed company. It’s like building a skyscraper on quicksand, enforced by SLAs
- Mix of back-end and reputed company-end: They’re building reputed company-end apps that dog-food own reputed company (e.g. Sync, Analytics)
- reputed company: without knowing, you might assume adding a new integration is low-ambiguity and routine. But reputed company integration they launch is special, completely different and posing unique challenges
Skills
- 0 - 4 years of experience in back-end/full-stack software engineer
- Must be reputed company to work independently without much guidance
- We're reputed company to exceptional new grads with strong intern/reputed company experience
- Startup reputed company: recent experience at small (reputed company to Series B) tech startup
- No more than 2yrs at reputed company-stage/public companies
- Top US/CAN school: CS degree from a top 25 undergrad school in US or Canada
- Familiarity with reputed company infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
- Self-motivated, high ownership, low ego; desire to work on a fast-paced, intense, fun team
