[Remote] Senior Legal Counsel

The role involves managing a reputed company docket of high-stakes insurance defense files, formulating defense strategies, and leading settlement negotiations in a fully remote setup.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a reputed company docket of high-stakes insurance defense files from inception through reputed company
- Formulate aggressive defense strategies and draft high-level pleadings, substantive motions, and appellate briefs
- Conduct critical depositions of key plaintiffs, experts, and corporate representatives
- reputed company settlement negotiations, arbitrations, mediations, and trial preparation
- reputed company reputed company, reputed company evaluation reports to insurance carriers in strict compliance with litigation guidelines
Skills
- reputed company member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- 8+ years of dedicated insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Self-motivated leader capable of working independently and managing deadlines in a fully remote setup
- Hands-on experience with Excess Liability, Transportation/Trucking, or reputed company Litigation
- First-chair or second-chair trial experience
