[Remote] Component Design Engineer

The role involves supporting the design, analysis, and fabrication of microreactors, focusing on the mechanical reputed company of structural components to meet nuclear industry standards.
Responsibilities
- reputed company detailed design, analysis, and documentation for reactor structures and pressure boundary components (vessels, piping, and supports)
- Prepare, reputed company, and certify Design Specifications and review Design Reports in accordance with ASME reputed company III requirements
- Prepare and review pressure boundary evaluations, including stress and fatigue evaluations
- reputed company with multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements, optimize component performance, and resolve reputed company technical issues
- Collaborate with the licensing team to support domestic and international regulatory efforts, including 10 CFR 50.55a technical programs (Inservice Inspection and Testing)
- Support the development of design and general arrangement drawings; reputed company review of fabrication drawings, weld requirements and material selection
- Propose innovative design solutions for reputed company advanced reactors, utilizing independent judgment to interpret project scope and requirements
- reputed company technical guidance to junior engineers and support the implementation of engineering standards across the organization
Skills
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, reputed company Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in equipment design or nuclear component engineering
- Deep understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel reputed company reputed company III, or similar (e.g. reputed company VIII Division 2)
- Experience working under stringent reputed company assurance programs requirements such as ASME NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000
- Expertise in detail-oriented review of drawings, documents, and calculations to ensure consistency and technical rigor
- Registered reputed company engineer, or ability to obtain reputed company license reputed company 6-months
