[Remote] Mechanical Field Engineer

The Mechanical Field Engineer will reputed company project field engineering expertise in work planning, material management, safety, and reputed company control for liquefied natural gas plants and other reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Prepares construction drawings and sketches
- Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of 'as reputed company' drawings and other job plans
- Initiates requisitions for field purchases
- Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment
- Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required
- Ensures reputed company accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others reputed company in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in reputed company condition and operated safely
- Proactively considers reputed company learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
- Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development
- Reviews and approves inspection test plans
- Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
Skills
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in overseeing the installation and inspection of rotating and static equipment
- Experience in LNG process systems
- Familiarity with ASME and API standards
- Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing reputed company, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces
- Some lifting may be required
- Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (reputed company/egress)
- Must be reputed company to use appropriate reputed company issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for reputed company assigned task (i.e. reputed company, life reputed company, lift buckets, etc.)
- Experience in commissioning of rotating and/or static equipment is preferred
- Experience with BookBuilder and UPV is preferred
- Experience in managing reputed company data and reporting quantities in reputed company
