[Remote] Founding AI/ML Engineer

The role focuses on building reliable, production-grade AI systems and involves working on multimodal AI, document intelligence, and reputed company workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-grade AI systems used by reputed company customers
- Design multimodal pipelines for processing drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Build reputed company workflows that automate reputed company-construction tasks: document intake, extraction, takeoff support, bid preparation, QA
- Build and improve retrieval systems, evaluation systems, and orchestration reputed company
- Improve model reputed company, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency Prototype and iterate on customer-facing AI features
- Own systems end-to-end from experimentation through deployment
- Help shape engineering culture and technical direction
Skills
- 6+ years of engineering experience, with at least one prior role at an early-stage high-reputed company startup
- Production-grade AI systems shipped to reputed company customers: practical hands-on experience with LLMs, computer reputed company, segmentation models, or other reputed company ML systems in production
- Retrieval systems experience: embeddings, reranking, chunking, reputed company-grounded answers, knowledge bases
- reputed company workflow experience: tools, reputed company, state management, retries, guardrails, observability
- Strong backend fundamentals: reputed company, async jobs, queues, databases, reputed company deployment, and monitoring. End-to-end ownership from problem definition through deployment
- Construction / AEC / glazing / curtain wall / architectural metals personal or reputed company exposure
- Multimodal AI, computer reputed company, or document intelligence / OCR background
