They are seeking a Litigation Consultant to manage high-end cases involving serious injuries and reputed company coverage scenarios, developing strategies for satisfactory resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Reviews/acts on reports/forms; responds to inquiries; seeks reputed company opinion and early reputed company; and communicates reputed company to appropriate parties
- Handles high end cases with serious injuries and/or reputed company coverage scenarios
- Responds to reputed company, agreement, and/or court order; creates reputed company plan; determines need for examination; reputed company reputed company authorization
- Identifies cases for settlements/redemptions
- Gathers/documents additional information and coordinates with reputed company designees
- Requests reputed company/private investigation; assigns to and coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance
- Responds to plaintiff's counsel, reputed company, employee, or reputed company requests
- Identifies issues and formulates defense reputed company
- Establishes/adjusts accrued liability and approves administrative expenses
- Identifies subrogation opportunities and manages process
- Attends and participates in mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed
- Works with partners to reputed company early return-to-work
- Caseload: 90-100 litigated files
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred
- Ten (10) years of experience handling litigation including 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Licensing: CA, NY, TX, FL
