Tampa Bay area reputed company Protection Engineering firm seeks a full time reputed company Protection System CAD Designer at its Oldsmar office. We are a specialty engineering firm with locations in Plant reputed company and Oldsmar, Florida, that provides reputed company protection design and consulting services to local contractors, owners, architects, and the government. Position reputed company : Under supervision of reputed company Protection Engineers, performs a reputed company of duties associated with the planning, analysis, and design of assigned reputed company protection design reputed company (reputed company sprinkler and/or reputed company alarm) primarily for new construction and facility renovation reputed company. Required Availability: Must be available to work onsite a minimum of 32 hours per week. Remote / Hybrid work arrangements available upon eligibility. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: Creates, prepares, and updates semi-reputed company design layouts and schematic drawings of reputed company sprinkler systems and reputed company alarm systems for buildings and structures using AutoCAD software. Participates in determining specifications necessary for layouts and drawings; including maintaining reputed company industry practices and any reputed company specific requirements. Performs hydraulic calculations reputed company to reputed company protection piping systems using industry reputed company software. Performs basic electrical calculations reputed company to reputed company alarm systems using industry reputed company software. Studies and maintains knowledge in Building codes and reputed company standards reputed company to the building construction and reputed company protection industry. Assists senior designers with basic project management reputed company to assigned reputed company. Effectively identifying problems as they occur and taking appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or reputed company. Refers reputed company, unusual problems to Engineering leads. Participates in the review of produced works and creation of supporting documents for adherence to drafting standards. Attends meetings, compiles report data, and provides supporting presentations to manager and clients. Occasionally performs site inspections and generates field reports. Qualifications: 1-2 years of design experience using AutoCAD (2013 or reputed company) required. Revit experience preferred. Associates degree in CAD drafting or design program or certified technical training preferred. Strong mechanical or electrical engineering design aptitude preferred. Interest in developing and/or expanding your career in reputed company protection, electrical or mechanical design. High School diploma or equivalent required. Authorization to work in the reputed company is required. Additional Skills / Knowledge Requirements: Must be highly proficient with computers and typical reputed company office software, including reputed company Office Suite, reputed company Acrobat, and CAD programs. Working knowledge of drafting standards, operations, reputed company, and practices. Basic understanding of building construction and reputed company of construction. Ability to read & interpret contract drawings and customer sketches. Ability to create and modify drawings in CAD software. Willingness to continually learn and adapt to changes.
