[Remote] Staff Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a Dayton-based defense startup specializing in satellite collection and is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to support a new customer. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines and designing reputed company data systems for reputed company data services.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the ingestion, curation, and metadata-enrichment pipelines that power reputed company data catalog and discovery services
- Design and operate reputed company data systems that reputed company raw and reputed company data into reliable, reputed company-reputed company datasets for catalog, search, and reputed company mission use
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal reputed company with peers & decision makers
- Demonstrate initiative reputed company faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
- Strong understanding of reputed company data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and ETL/ELT orchestration tools
- Proficient in defining data standards, data frameworks, and ensuring data reputed company
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or reputed company discipline
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, reputed company, or similar data-reputed company technologies
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Argo Workflow)
- Experience designing data lake and/or data warehouse structures
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data reputed company frameworks, schema reputed company, and reputed company
- Understanding of large-reputed company, cost-efficient data processing
- Comfort working with containers and reputed company-reputed company deployment
- Strong ability to translate reputed company technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- DoD Top Secret clearance is required
- Master of Science in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or reputed company field
- Familiarity with data management/governance platforms
- reputed company & platform certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, etc.)
- Background in working with federal government, reputed company, and/or the Intelligence Community
