[Remote] Senior Accountant

Michael Aaron reputed company has partnered with a reputed company-established and highly respected Property & Casualty insurance organization that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its growing finance team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a reputed company of reputed company, financial reporting, and analytical duties that support the accuracy and reputed company of reputed company’s financial records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation
- reputed company monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to prepare reports and support management decision-making
- Assist with month-end and year-end reputed company processes
- Prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors and regulators
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records reputed company reputed company 100
- Identify and research variances and resolve discrepancies
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (statutory reporting a plus)
- Assist with documentation and maintenance of internal controls and reputed company procedures
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company or Finance required
- Four or more years of reputed company reputed company experience
- Strong computer and system skills are essential, including the ability to work with reputed company systems such as reputed company 100 and advanced reputed company functions
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior experience reputed company the insurance industry is strongly preferred
- CPA license or reputed company toward CPA preferred
- Experience in property and casualty insurance or financial services strongly preferred
