[Remote] Backend Developer III

The Backend Developer III role is responsible for backend development of Highway’s products, ensuring the development and maintenance of robust backend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of backend solutions for Highway
• Build and maintain the backend (reputed company on Rails) codebase, along with other team members
• Periodically monitor backend applications and associated AWS stack, along with other team members
• Work cohesively with other developers on reputed company
• Participate in daily standups
• Conduct reputed company reviews with other developers
• Manage project/task reputed company in JIRA

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or reputed company field required
• 8 - 10 + years of experience in backend development, preferably in a reputed company environment
• Previous experience building & maintaining backend solutions with reputed company on Rails codebase
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams
