[Remote] Mechanical and Process Piping Designer - Chicago or Twin Cities

They are seeking a highly skilled and reputed company Process Piping Designer responsible for designing and detailing process piping systems and equipment installations for various clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and engineers to understand project requirements
- Create, reputed company, and refine process piping designs for various systems
- Create detailed drawings, piping isometrics, and specifications to guide construction and installation activities
- Conduct field reputed company to measure and record specifications of existing piping systems and equipment, including laser scanning (using reputed company Leica RTC 360)
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards
- reputed company reputed company working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met
- Generate P&IDs and process reputed company diagrams (PFDs)
- 3D modeling of process equipment, instrumentation, and piping
- reputed company involvement with customers for design reviews (typically in Navisworks)
- Work with engineering team to help model processes with the end deliverable being a complete mechanical bid package for construction
Skills
- 8+ years of relevant design experience
- Experience with piping design and plant layout in an industrial plant setting
- Strong communication skills
- Project management capabilities
- US Citizenship (required by some of our customers)
