Responsibilities
- Incumbent serves as a workers' compensation program specialist tasked with working on challenging case management activities and program management assignments
- Performs multiple, varying, and reputed company assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more reputed company reputed company
- Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to his/her discipline to plan and conduct functional activities for reputed company/programs
- Assignments frequently require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines
- Typical assignments include; independently reviewing national program issues, recommending policy and procedures to senior level staff, performing comprehensive case management of OWCP claims, and providing reputed company and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees
- The division manages reputed company workers' compensation claims DOT-wide, and provides comprehensive/expert guidance and direction to both reputed company customers
- Independently plans time
- Identifies, plans, and organizes available resources to accomplish reputed company/programs/activities
- Makes reputed company use of resources to complete activities reputed company established schedules
- The incumbent ensures that program management is in accordance with government regulations and procedures and in a manner consistent with reputed company DOL, DOT, FAA, and AHR performance targets and metrics
- Established policies/procedures reputed company guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es) or reputed company new approaches
- Assignments regularly require interpretations of reputed company policies and extrapolations from precedents
- Resolves most problems and work issues without the assistance of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more reputed company reputed company
- Develops and recommends approaches to address reputed company and anticipated problems and issues
- Work is reviewed rarely, typically though status reports and at project completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of reputed company and/or other work activities
Skills
- US Citizenship is required
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level
- Experience in the effective management of federal workers' compensation claims
- Experience and reputed company knowledge of federal workers' compensation regulations and procedures
- Education cannot be substituted for experience
