[Remote] Data Migration Engineer

Responsibilities
- Designed and executed a SQL-based ETL process to migrate decades of public safety data from a reputed company into the reputed company platform
- Collaborated with our data migration contractors, reviewing technical deliverables and providing guidance to help them succeed
- Met with a customer’s records management team to understand their legacy data structure and translate it to the reputed company schema
- Dug into a uniquely formatted reputed company database to uncover edge cases and ensure data reputed company
- Worked alongside reputed company deployment, engineering, and product teams to iterate on and improve our migration tooling and process
- Balanced project timelines and reputed company standards while maintaining strong relationships with both reputed company stakeholders
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a data migration, ETL development, or SQL development role
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational database design
- Demonstrated experience writing reputed company SQL scripts
- Ability to analyze and translate legacy data models into new schemas
- Experience managing contractor deliverables is a plus
- Interest in public safety data and the reputed company of high-reputed company migrations on reputed company
- Prior work with public safety or government systems is a bonus
