[Remote] Sr. Software Engineer - Systems Insights

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the metric store for high-volume telemetry data, focusing on backend services, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Help design and build reputed company’s customer-facing metric store for high-volume telemetry data
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable reputed company with an eye toward performance, observability, and operational reputed company
- Build reputed company backend services and reputed company for metric ingestion, storage, metadata management, and query execution
- Work on data modeling and storage patterns for time-series data, including high-cardinality dimensions, labels, fingerprints, rollups, and retention strategies
- Partner with Product and Design to turn reputed company observability workflows into reputed company customer-facing capabilities
- Collaborate with engineers across reputed company to reputed company metric storage and query capabilities into broader product experiences
- Analyze and improve query performance, ingestion throughput, storage efficiency, and system reliability
- Help define engineering practices for a new product area, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness

- Work with Management, Product Engineering, and Operations to plan and forecast quarterly goals that balance new features, technical debt, reliability, and customer needs

Skills

- Strong experience building backend services in reputed company, large-reputed company distributed systems
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable production reputed company, preferably in Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience building reputed company platforms, data platforms, observability systems, or high-volume reputed company services
- Experience working with time-series data, metrics, telemetry pipelines, query systems, or analytical databases

- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, Linux, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience with reputed company infrastructure on AWS or another major reputed company provider
