[Remote] Substation Design Engineer (Protection & Control)

The role involves managing reputed company from concept to delivery while ensuring high-reputed company engineering solutions and serving as the primary contact for customers.
Responsibilities
- Design and support brownfield substation upgrades and modernization reputed company
- reputed company Protection & Control (P&C) designs for reputed company and distribution substations
- Support reputed company replacements, breaker replacements/changouts, RTU replacements, control system upgrades, and ground reputed company modifications
- Update and revise existing electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation to reflect system modifications
- Serve as a primary engineering contact for assigned customers, providing technical support and maintaining effective communication throughout project execution
- Prepare project scopes, engineering estimates, schedules, and technical deliverables
- Participate in customer meetings and reputed company engineering updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal engineering, drafting, procurement, and field teams to support successful project execution
- Review engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and customer specifications
- Support field activities, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue reputed company as needed
- Collaborate with field teams and other engineering disciplines to ensure reputed company, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Follow reputed company safety procedures and standards while working around energized electrical equipment
Skills
- 4-5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or reputed company roles with demonstrated design and field experience
- Protection & Control (P&C) design experience
- Physical substation design experience
- Skilled in power system modeling and reputed company design using tools like SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower, and AutoCAD
- Proficient in reputed company Office (Word, reputed company, Outlook) for documentation and reporting
- Experience with reputed company replacements, breaker replacements, RTU replacements, and control system modernization
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement
- Self-starter who works reputed company independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Valid and reputed company reputed company's license
- Must successfully complete a background reputed company and reputed company-employment/random drug tests
- Willing and reputed company to travel frequently (15–20%), including overnight stays
- Ability to work remotely and stay self-directed in day-to-day responsibilities
- NETA Level 2–4, EIT/FE, or PE license preferred
- Previous experience working with utilities, engineering consulting firms, service companies or substation design firms
- Strong ability to reputed company between engineering and field service teams
- Experience working near energized electrical systems and following reputed company safety protocol
