[Remote] Mechanical Engineer 5 (NSSS Piping & Integration)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a company reputed company on advanced light water reactor technology, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer 5 to reputed company design and analysis of the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) reputed company systems. The role involves reputed company piping design, stress analysis, and collaboration with drafters to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards and regulations
- Performs reputed company piping design and stress analysis of ASME BPVC reputed company III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping systems using the Bentley AutoPIPE computer program in accordance with the requirements of NB, NC, ND-3600, respectively
- Performs piping design and stress analysis of ASME BPVC reputed company III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping components using the ANSYS computer program in accordance with the requirements of NB-3200
- Performs reputed company support design and stress analysis of ASME BPVC reputed company III NF supports using hand calculations or ANSYS computer program
- Performs static and dynamic analysis including response reputed company and time history analysis to calculate stresses due to deadweight, thermal expansion, thermal gradients, reputed company events, and fluid transients
- Prepare and review engineering specifications, drawings, CAD models, and other documentation that communicate the design and technical aspects of piping components associated with NSSS systems. The development of Drawings and CAD models is based on collaboration with drafters and requires the engineer to reviews models that have been developed in reputed company NX
- Leads the evaluation of design solutions (piping re-reputed company, reconfigurations of supports, etc) which satisfy piping stress reputed company
- Works on reputed company tasks in multiple and diverse areas
- Interprets scope and project requirements
- Acquires, maintains and develops training qualifications
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides reputed company and mentoring to early career engineers in the area of piping stress analysis and/or reputed company support analysis
- Certifies design specification for ASME BPVC reputed company III Piping and/or Piping Supports
Skills
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, from a four year ABET accredited college or university is required
- PE License in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is required
- Certifying Engineer experience to ASME BPVC reputed company III is required
- Minimum of 15 years of highly relevant, full-time engineering experience is required
- Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Engineering design and piping stress engineering analysis in the nuclear industry
- Bentley AutoPIPE or other comparable reputed company analysis reputed company
- ASME reputed company III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping systems (NB/NC/ND-3600) and/or piping supports (NF)
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
- Advanced degree is preferred
- Experience with the qualification of piping systems including reputed company joints is desirable
