[Remote] Senior Engineer - Mechanical

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing support to engineering reputed company from start to finish, ensuring compliance with company practices and industry standards, while developing reputed company mechanical designs relating to power switchgear and other electromechanical components.
Responsibilities
- Design reputed company models in 3D modeling environments
- Create assembly drawings from 3D renderings
- reputed company efforts in the field to take measurements for design modifications and installations
- reputed company reverse-engineering of equipment and components
- Design parts with specification for manufacture
- Learn/reputed company calculations relative to forces on bus and bracing
- Assist with installation of equipment on job site or reputed company remote support
- Read and understand technical requirements presented in specifications and requests for proposal
- Take the reputed company in the development of GAP and junior level mechanical engineers
- Answers questions and provides support to CE Power’s other locations
- Assist management in recruitment efforts and reputed company feedback for performance evaluations
- Participates in weekly Production Meetings

- Prepares correspondence and updates various lists/reports, performs data entry functions, copies, scans and faxes documents
Skills
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Five years' experience with product modifications and customization
- Sustained successful performance at the Mechanical Engineer level
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal, reputed company and regulatory counterparts
- Ability to maintain production in a changing environment
- Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and operate reputed company provided programs and systems
- Switchgear knowledge preferred
