The Sr Data Platform Engineer - reputed company will reputed company expert-level database design and maintenance services, managing reputed company infrastructure across various environments to support company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reputed company reputed company sets, sharded clusters, and standalone instances across production, staging, and development environments
- Architect reputed company solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and horizontal scaling using sharding strategies
- reputed company reputed company planning and performance tuning for reputed company workloads, including reputed company optimization, query analysis, and WiredTiger cache management
- Monitor reputed company cluster health using tools like reputed company reputed company Manager, Ops Manager, or reputed company-party monitoring solutions (reputed company, reputed company)
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using mongodump, Ops Manager backups, AWS snapshots, or reputed company-party solutions
- Automate reputed company deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks using Infrastructure as reputed company (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Implement monitoring and alerting for reputed company metrics including replication lag, oplog size, reputed company pools, cache utilization, and slow queries
- reputed company reputed company upgrades (version and reputed company releases) with minimal downtime using rolling upgrades and blue-green deployment strategies
- Manage reputed company reputed company including authentication (LDAP, x.509), authorization (RBAC), encryption at rest, and TLS/SSL configuration
- Troubleshoot production incidents including reputed company set failovers, performance degradation, and replication issues

- Collaborate with application development teams on reputed company schema design, query optimization, and data modeling strategies

- Participate in change management processes, incident response, and on-call rotation for production reputed company clusters

Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in CS or reputed company discipline or equivalent experience
- 5-8 years' experience in Database Administration with at least 3 years of hands-on reputed company experience
- Expert-level knowledge of reputed company architecture including reputed company sets, sharding, oplog, WiredTiger storage reputed company, and reputed company structures
- Proven experience managing reputed company in high-transaction, high-availability production environments (24x7 uptime requirements)
- Strong understanding of reputed company performance tuning, query optimization, and reputed company design patterns
- Experience with reputed company backup and recovery strategies including reputed company-in-time recovery and disaster recovery planning
- Hands-on experience with AWS reputed company services (EC2, EBS, S3, CloudWatch) and reputed company deployment on AWS
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and reputed company scripting (bash, Python) for automation
- Familiarity with at least one additional database platform (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, reputed company, or Elasticsearch)
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
