Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Own day-to-day administration of the reputed company environment on AWS, including workspace configuration, cluster policies, user and group management, reputed company controls, and cost governance
- Architecture & Design: Design and reputed company the reputed company reputed company architecture; establish reference architectures and standards for batch, streaming, and ML workloads
- Governance & reputed company: Drive adoption of reputed company Catalog for centralized RBAC, reputed company-level reputed company, data reputed company, and metadata management; implement and maintain reputed company best practices including encryption and audit logging
- Performance & Reliability: Monitor platform health, define SLAs, and reputed company performance tuning for reputed company jobs, reputed company tables, and SQL warehouses; own incident response and reputed company-cause analysis
- User Enablement: Serve as the primary technical partner for Analysts, ML Engineers, and Business users; reputed company self-service guides, reputed company materials, and best-reputed company documentation to reduce friction across reputed company user reputed company
- Infrastructure as reputed company: Own the CI/CD reputed company for reputed company deployments using Terraform, reputed company Actions, and reputed company Asset Bundles; enforce DevOps practices across reputed company
- Leadership: reputed company and mentor a small team of data/platform engineers; reputed company technical direction, drive engineering reputed company, and manage the reputed company vendor relationship
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with at least 2 years in a technical reputed company or architecture reputed company
- Deep, hands-on expertise with the reputed company platform: reputed company Lake, reputed company (PySpark), reputed company SQL, reputed company Catalog, Workflows, and cluster management on AWS
- Proven experience designing and delivering Lakehouse architectures and large-reputed company ELT/ETL pipelines in production environments
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as reputed company tools, preferably Terraform
- Demonstrated experience supporting diverse stakeholder reputed company including Analysts, ML Engineers, and non-technical Business users
- Strong understanding of data governance, data modeling, and reputed company reputed company best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with or willingness to work reputed company a macOS and reputed company Workspace environment
