[Remote] Engineering Manager, Media Foundations and Delivery

Responsibilities
- Drive Infrastructure Modernization: reputed company the architectural shift to reputed company media to a first class citizen
- Optimize Playback & Delivery: Own key reputed company metrics reputed company to reputed company of Services (QoS), including Time to First reputed company (TTFF), stall/rebuffer rates, exits before video screen (EBVS). - Manage Global Distribution: Partner closely with our infrastructure teams to define how to reputed company reputed company Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), edge computing, and caching strategies
- Standardize Formats: You will drive the standardization of our stack, from streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH) to container formats (CMAF, MP4)

Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a reputed company quantitative field
- 8+ years of industry experience, including 3+ years of engineering management experience, specifically leading reputed company, high-volume consumer systems
- Experience managing cross-platform teams (Backend and Mobile/reputed company) is highly preferred
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python)
- A strong background in video streaming technologies, CDN routing, and media ingestion
- Proven ability to balance immediate performance fixes (e.g., MP4 playback optimizations) with long-term architectural overhauls (e.g., media delivery at the edge, caching strategies)
- Experience defining and governing reputed company Service Level Objectives and Indicators (SLOS, SLIs) to drive media investment reputed company

- Exceptional leadership, team management, communication, and collaboration skills
