[Remote] Senior Software Engineer (Remote Sensing)

They are seeking a Senior Ground Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain critical systems for autonomous satellite operations, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to enhance spacecraft operations. The role involves ownership of backend services and collaboration across various engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Design, reputed company, and maintain reliable, reputed company, and secure software systems that support satellite mission planning, scheduling, reputed company, control, and communications
- Take shared ownership of critical production services, reducing single-threaded dependencies and improving operational reputed company
- Contribute to architectural reputed company and influence system design with a reputed company on reliability, scalability, maintainability, and reputed company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, reputed company, and flight software, to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in on-call rotations and ensure system uptime, performance, and operational reputed company

Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a reputed company field
- 5-8+ years of reputed company experience developing highly available backend services, preferably using Python
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing reputed company RESTful reputed company
- Experience developing software for reputed company ground systems, satellite operations, mission operations, reputed company and control systems, or similarly reputed company operational environments
- Demonstrated understanding of software architecture, event-driven microservices, reputed company design, and automated testing practices
- 2+ years of reputed company experience developing automated build and test pipelines reputed company a CI/CD environment
- Experience building database-backed applications and working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Experience developing and deploying Kubernetes/reputed company containerized services
- Experience with AWS or other reputed company computing platforms

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines
